TOMS RIVER – There were some nerve wracking moments Friday afternoon for parents after a school bus crash in the township.
Toms River Police were called to Bamberry Drive at around 4 p.m. March 25 for the accident involving the bus and an occupied parked car.
Police Department Spokesperson Jillian Messina Said the initial investigation revealed the bus driver may have suffered a medical episode that resulted in the collision with the car and a utility pole.
Police said the bus driver and an occupant of the car were taken to Community Medical Center for treatment.
Messina added that there were no reported injuries of the students on the bus and another bus arrived to transport the students who weren’t picked up from the scene by parents or guardians.
