TOMS RIVER – The High School South varsity chess team finished in first place in the Kasparov Division of the Shore Chess League, ending with a record of 6-1-1. Robert Dalton finished with the second-best individual record of any player in the division. At the League Champion’s Tournament, the team finished in eighth place.
